SUPPORT STAFF

<ISDAK system from the student’s point of view>

ISDAK is managed by a variety of people and organizations, including dormitory students, student staff, faculty, and advisors. Therefore, the dormitory students can make effective use of many windows and can lead a safe and comfortable dormitory life. Here are some of the most relevant channels for boarders.

Live-in adviser (Hitotsubashi University faculty)

Teachers and staff from Hitotsubashi University live in the dormitory as live-in advisors, providing a wide range of consultations on issues that are difficult to resolve between the residents, and on the suggestion and implementation of opinions from an educational perspective on the management of the dormitory.

Plaza Management Office

There is a plaza management office as an office to manage the entire dormitory. The Plaza Administration Office is open from 9 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and supports a variety of dorm life procedures, including entering and leaving the dormitory, applying for the use of shared facilities, and renting out equipment. We also keep a warm eye on all the residents, from the maintenance of the facilities in the dormitory to the mental care of the residents.

Resident Assistant (RA)

At ISDAK, RA students are interviewed by Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo Gakugei University, the University of Electro-Communications, and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, and are actively engaged in a wide range of activities such as managing dormitories and organizing events for the dormitory residents. The RA also works to deliver the voices of ISDAK dormitory students received through the floor leader association to the university and to connect the dormitory students with the university in cooperation with the supervisor. RA has a role to play in building better international dormitories by cooperating with domestic and foreign organizations while actually living in the dormitories.

Community Assistant (CA)

As the leader of the shared rooms in Building A and Building E, CA plays the role of promoting daily life support and exchange among residents. He is my closest adviser when I have trouble in my life.

* FL may also serve as a CA

[CA for building A]: Mainly lives on the same floor as new students (Foreign students and Japanese) and act as floor leaders to support residents’ lives and promote exchanges. We support students who actively participate in international exchange while sharing the same living space.

[CA for Building E]: Students live on the same floor as short-term exchange students (exchange students) and act as floor leaders to support their daily lives, provide language support, and promote interchanges within the dormitory, including the floor.

*The CA has a one-year term.

Guardhouse

The guard office is next to the main gate of the international student dormitory. They protect the safety of the residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and the guard takes care of all the after-hours activities of the Plaza office.

Also, if you receive an email while you are out, it will be kept temporarily at the security office and you can receive it 24 hours a day, which is very convenient (* You need to show your student ID card and delivery notice to receive it.).
